| Thankyou for the super pictures.I admire your patience, whenever I start a new project I have to hear the engine running before I contemplate the next stage. We are lucky to have most Villiers parts available "off the shelf".Both my Normans are up and running so now I have to get on with the sad little MG Midget that has been awaiting my attention for the last few months while I have been getting on with my Nippy.Keep us posted with your restoration.Paul (Mr.Rabbit) |

| Hello Mick,it is starting to look good.Just imgine what it was like to ride in that state,I imagine that the chain slipped around the rear sprocket.I wonder how many miles the old beastie has done. When I was a teenager a couple lived in the village who rode around on a 150 ccs James, they were both well overweight and the bike was in a similar condition to your Autobyke but the little old thing never let them down and would chug along at about 20 MPH with them and their shopping aboard.I serviced it for them once and had a job to ride it to my workshop it was so worn.Keep the pictures coming they are very interesting.Paul |

hello again paul
its nice to hear stories such as the james, having got the motobyk from knaresborough i imagine the little bike buzzing up and down the A59
to york and back where it was registered.
by next week i should have the rear hub ready for powder coating, im only powder coating the hubs because they are a pain to keep presentable
by enamel alone.
will post pics of machined hub and new sprocket all being well
cheers for now
